The 3rd Mediterranean Water Forum was held on 22 and 24 January 2018 in Cairo organized by the National Water Research Center and the coordinators of the Mediterranean Process, the Institut Méditerranéen de l’Eau and the Secretariat of the Union for the Mediterranean. with the presence of Nile Research Institute  Prof.Dr.Medhat Saad Aziz director, deputy directors Prof.Dr.Tarek Abd Elaziz, Prof.Dr.Sherine Shawky, and 7 researchers.( Prof.Dr.Nahla Sadek, Dr.Nadia Abdelsalam, Dr. Ahmed Said, Dr.Mohamed Ali, Dr.Shiamaa Elsherbib,Eng.Marwa Mamdouh,Eng.Fatma Samir).The 3rd Mediterranean Water Forum gathered the MediterraneanWater Community to discuss and debate on regional priorities through panels andworking groups. Six main topics linked with the Thematic Framework of the 8thWorld Water Forum have been held to prepare the regional sessions in Brazil: 1.Water and climate change mitigation, 2. Integrated sanitation for all, 3.Water/ Energy/Food/Ecosystems Nexus, 4. Reuse and its impacts, 5.Managing andrestoring of water services and biodiversity and 6. Finance for sustainabledevelopment.The Mediterranean Water Forum ensured that the regional process contributes to raise water issues high on the agenda of leaders and promote dialogues and exchanges of experiences on policies and solutions to increase water security.
